Those hilarious Bad Jews will keep making mischief into the holiday season: Roundabout Theatre Company's acclaimed production of the dark comedy by Joshua Harmon will play an extra week at the Laura Pels Theatre, through December 22. Daniel Aukin's production officially opened on October 3, starring Tracee Chimo, Philip Ettinger, Molly Ranson and Michael Zegen.
Described as a comedy about the holy and the holier-than-thou, Bad Jews centers on Daphna Feygenbaum (Chimo), a "real Jew" who battles with her cousin Liam (Zegen) over ownership of their late grandfather's Chai necklace. Also in the mix are Liam's shiksa girlfriend Melody (Ranson) and his laid-back brother Jonah (Ettinger), who is determined not to take sides.
Bad Jews had its world premiere as a Roundabout Underground production in October 2012 with the current cast. Click here to read Joshua Harmon's reflections on the development of the play.
